Abengoa presents the basic online course entitled “Corporate Carbon Footprint”

Seville, April 2, 2013. Abengoa (MCE: ABG), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainable development in the energy and environment sectors, has launched a new edition of the online course for calculating a carbon footprint, aimed at companies and organizations that intend to evaluate and record their CO₂ emissions. This innovative program analyses and explains the necessary steps in order to calculate the carbon footprint of an organization, product or service, by offering customized advice. Furthermore, it also reviews all the available data sources about a company’s carbon footprint.

During the course, students will learn about the opportunities of the carbon footprint, how to calculate it and how to make plans to reduce and neutralize these emissions. The knowledge acquired will also allow students to understand the current situation regarding international standards for emissions calculations, as well as the critical points to be taken into account in order to correctly carry out the procedure.
